SUMMARY:EMBO Workshop: Lymphatic Tissues and Germinal Centres in Immune Reactions
DESCRIPTION:About the Workshop\n\nAntibody mediated-immunity is essential for health. The generation of long-lived high-quality humoral immunity is orchestrated in secondary lymphoid tissues through complex cellular interactions and communication. B cells specific for foreign antigens collaborate with follicular helper T cells and stromal cells to form germinal centres (GCs). Here\, GC B cells affinity mature their antibodies and generate memory and antibody-secreting plasma cells. These responses ultimately shape adaptive immunity and thereby help protect us from infections and disease. This meeting is aimed at uniting world experts and young researchers in an intimate environment\, facilitating debates of the key issues in our field and the future directions required. The meeting will cover various important topics including germinal centre selection mechanisms\, vaccination biology\, immune cell differentiation\, auto-antibody generation and regulation by the tissue microenvironment. \nThis EMBO Workshop is held in the historic city of Galway\, The Republic of Ireland. Galway is a small\, vibrant city rich in culture\, music\, restaurants and social venues. \n\nAbout EMBO Courses and Workshops \nEMBO Courses and Workshops are selected for their excellent scientific quality and timelines\, provision of good networking activities for all participants and speaker gender diversity (at least 40% of speakers must be from the underrepresented gender). \nOrganisers are encouraged to implement measures to make the meeting environmentally more sustainable. \n\n  \nFor more information and to register\, click here.

SUMMARY:Cancer Immunotherapy and Immunomonitoring (CITIM) - 2023
DESCRIPTION:CANCER IMMUNOTHERAPY & IMMUNOMONITORING\nCITIM-2023\nAPRIL 24-27\, 2023\nVILNIUS\, LITHUANIA\nThe accumulated knowledge in cancer immunology and encouraging results from recent cancer immunotherapy clinical trials indicate that immune system plays an essential role in host defense against cancer and can be exploited for effective cancer therapy. However\, the existing gap between laboratory and clinical investigators severely hampers the translation of fundamental discoveries into clinical applications. The main goal of this meeting is to provide a joint forum for leading basic researchers and clinical investigators in the fields of cancer immunology and immunotherapy that would serve to accelerate translation of basic research into effective treatment of cancer in children and adults. \nThus\, the field of Cancer Immunotherapy and Immunomonitoring (CITIM) is of escalating significance. CITIM Conference allows scientists\, clinicians\, medical practitioners and specialists\, students\, R&D experts and patients to meet together and discuss the latest therapeutic\, preventive and diagnostic developments in the field. \nFor more info: https://www.canceritim.org/program
