Postdoc in Immunological Biotechnology and Therapeutic Protein Development, Aarhus University, Denmark

The Section of Medical Biotechnology at the Department of Biological and Chemical Engineering, Aarhus University, invites applications for a 2-3 year postdoctoral fellow position in “Immunological Biotechnology and Therapeutic Protein Development”.

Expected start date and duration of employment

The position is available from 1 November 2021 or as soon as possible hereafter to the 31.9.2023, with the opportunity of extension.

Job description

The Immunological Biotechnology group headed by Edzard Spillner offers applicants an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious research project in development of therapeutic protein drugs.

The global burden of allergic diseases and asthma is increasing, and novel approaches and concepts for treatment are urgently needed. The project is positioned at the interface of protein engineering, immunology, and molecular allergology and will focus on the development of biologic protein drugs with the ability to interfere with anaphylactic reactions. The project will mainly rely on combinatorial display and selection approaches, protein characterisation and expression, and in vitro and cellular analyses of biomolecular interactions.
