ySSI Special Seminar with I&I: Science reproducibility, reliability, and article retraction.

The 22nd of February, Young Scandinavian Society for Immunology (ySSI) will join the Infection and Inflammation (I&I) research theme at Department of Biomedicine at Aarhus University Denmark in an out of the ordinary Journal Club event. For this event, Assistant Professor at the department, Manja Idorn will give a presentation on science reproducibility, reliability, and article retraction. Sources used for this study include peer-reviewed articles published in PNAS and Nature, reports from the nonprofit organization ATCC and the blog Retraction Watch. Manja will report the current trends and discuss the mechanisms underlying the main problems related to article retraction and scientific reproducibility.
